It's Halloween!!

I'm so excited, today is Halloween and I cannot wait to see all the
little ghosts and goblins that come to visit me.

I am ready,
I bought my candy weeks ago...it went right in to my special Halloween bowl
and has been sitting next to the front door since I bought it.

This year, I added drive around and look at Halloween decorations to the Fall Bucket List.
And as busy as we have been, we got to cross that off!!

Who loves Halloween - Do you get a lot of trick-or-treaters?

Peddlers Village, Pa.

A few weeks ago, before my trip to Rhinebech and before our visit to Cape May,
the hubs and I took a trip out to
Peddlers Village, Pa.
I have had so many wonderful memories to share,
I never got around to posting about this fun day.
A one hour, fifteen minute drive from home,
we frequent this small, quaint shopping village several times a year.
They go all out decorating for Halloween
and sponsor this non-traditional scarecrow contest during the fall.
We ate lunch at the Cock & Bull Restaurant followed by a leisurely stroll though the village.
I photographed a few of the entries I favored, there were way too many to photograph all of them.

Although, I usually favor traditional scarecrows, this owl was my favorite.

And here's a kid in a candy store...

The hubs had chocolate and his girl had cappuccino fudge.
Wait until you see what they do in the village for Christmas...
you can take a sneak peak at a few previous visits here and here.

If you had a favorite scarecrow, mention it in the comments!

Halloween In Cape May...

Friday, kinda' last minute, we decided to take a ride down to
Cape May, New Jersey
One hour, thirty minutes south of home, it was on the Fall Bucket List,
it was a beautiful day, so I wondered, what's stopping us? nada!
Cape May is notorious for their Halloween displays,
and I am a sucker for decorations,
and let me tell you, they did not disappoint.

There's so much to do in Cape May and we only did about half of what we thought we could fit in...
and we never made it to the beach to search for sea glass.
Next trip, we will get a hotel and stay overnight!!
