Blog To Print...

I continue to print my blog, every 3 months.
In the past, I was able to fit 6 months in one book.
The site added a feature where you can select the size of your images.
Now, I choose "large" images and only 3 months of blog entries will fit into one book.
That's fine by me, I like the bigger pictures.

I just printed these two books.

The front of book one...
July 1, 2013 - September 30, 2013

 the front of book two,
October 1, 2013 - December 31, 2013

Here's a peak at the inside...

 I love these bigger pictures.

You also select one picture for the back.

The book also contains a Table of Contents
and a Dedication page as well.

I have kept up very well with this, I have 8 books in total.
I will be ready to print again at the end of this month!

I added the numbers on the bindings.
They probably would have done that for me, but I didn't think of it,
until I received my third or fourth book.

These 2 books are both around 350 pages, and include 83 blog entries...
an average of 28 posts per month.
Using the 15% offer blogger had emailed me, each book was just under $100.00.

I LOVE my books and so do all my friends and family!
This is a wonderful keepsake.

Anybody else out there, printing their blog??

 There was snow eating...

 and deep conversations between friends,
I can only assume about the weather.

 Posing...

 stare downs...

 and smiles!!

Good thing the hubs cleaned the windows!!

Spring Cleaning

It's been a long winter, filled with a few little updates
and projects around the nest.
Most I have shared on the blog,
but here are four little projects we did that I really love.

This was a "must have" purchase from Pier One Imports...
what a great message,

and it fit perfectly right on the fireplace mantel.
Right in plain sight where I can read the message every day.

 I think it looks beautiful!
Next up was a little update in the hall.

We have those "we were popular" back in the 80's banisters.
We = me, popped out those round wooden plugs,

and screwed in these cute little knobs from Pier One Imports.
Are we seeing a little Pier One pattern here??

Each one had to be different, cause I'm funky that way...

and now it looks like this...sweet!!
Not needed, not necessary but totally adorable!

I picked up this six in one frame at...
you guessed it Pier One Imports and filled it with some of my
favorite sunset images.
The frame is funky and fun and I really love it!

The hubs painted the hall closet.
I didn't take a before picture as it looked exactly the same.
Everything that was in there, needed to be there,
so it was just a remove, paint and replace!
The walls were all marked up so it really needed to be painted.
We have been in this house 30 years and it had never been updated.
I have cleaned out all of our closets.
I have cleaned and organized the built-ins in the living room,
the china cabinet, the office draws, every drawer...the list is endless.
Every square inch of this house has been cleaned and organized.
I can't think of one more thing to do to keep myself
busy and occupied.
As the winter ends, everything is done.

Bring on Spring!!

p.s. we received 2 more inches of the white stuff last night!
In protest of this "Spring" storm...I'm not taking anymore pictures.

I Invented Pinterest...

hehe, well not really...but I feel like I did!!

 See...here's "my" version of Pinterest.
Little scraps of paper "pinned" to the cork boards
inside my kitchen cabinet doors.
Recipes, tips and crafty stuff that I use all the time.
Handy, right??
But along came Pinterest and I don't really need this anymore.

So I..., no not me, the hubs, did a little conversion...
down with the scraps,

and up with the measuring cups.
hanging in the bakery cabinet, I really like this, it's so handy.

And while I was at it...I cleaned out my cabinets...

all 20 of them, plus 8 drawers, and our pantry.
These 2 are "show" worthy!

I took everything out of the frig,
cleaned all the shelves and put back "the worthy"!
Not much, mostly just condiments.

I have been Spring cleaning all winter.
I'll show you more tomorrow...
of what this girl from Jersey has been doing to keep herself busy,
through this cold and snowy winter!

So what's your theory on Spring cleaning??
Do it in the winter, when your stuck inside anyway...
Or wait till Spring and spend some of those beautiful
Spring days cleaning...not me!

Feed the Birds!!

We have a couple of "feeding stations" in our back yard.
They need lots of maintenance and
that's where the hubs comes in very handy...

On March 20th, things were looking a lil shabby...
I didn't take any before pictures but here's the hubs in action!

 Supplies are gathered...

 everything gets washed...

 including all the windows!

Feeders are re-hung, these two attach right to the glass...

and are filled with the black oil seeds because that's what the birds prefer!

This section is for my little oriole, she still comes every day.
She prefers the jelly over the orange...and Junior does as well (smile)!
I have the dish to the right filled with water,
seems she is always looking for a drink.

He scrubbed and filled the bird bath as well.
In just a few minutes, this area was packed with happy birds.
Many thanks to the hubs for keeping up with this for me.

And on a side note...

these popped up in the garden.
What about you guys, have you seen your crocus yet?!
