Rub - A - Dub - Dub

Blue Jay in the Tub!!

The Blue Jays are so happy to reside here.
They come all day long.
If you put out peanuts, they come in droves.
If you don't put out peanuts they squeal, until you do.

I rarely see them in the bird bath.
They come for drinks but they don't bath.

It got pretty hot the other day and this one began acting up...

He hopped out to be sure I was watching...

haha, this one was my favorite!!

This is the order in which I took these pictures,
over the course of no more then one minute.
SOOC, the images are not cropped,
they were taken through the glass window in my kitchen.

Like a symphony in blue!! Great shots! Poor little fella looks a little bedraggled in that last shot. But he probably felt good!

You have the pointy head kind. We just have the normal scrub jay. Boy he makes me mad and I almost cried when he fought the doves off and him and the wife built the nest in the tree closest to my bedroom. The children are such brats and so noisy. Not to mention ill behaved. Always dive bombing me when I am not paying attention. :)

It's a wonder there is any water left in the bath, the way he is flinging it about!! But I agree that the last shot is the best!!

Oh, these are so good, Debbie!
He looks like he's having such a great time, and I just love the last one. The feathers on his head look like a mini Mohawk haircut!

You have a great day! xo.

This one looks different than what I'm used to seeing here, Debbie. The gray circle around the eye is something I'm not used to seeing.

Great captures of the bathing beauty.

Your photos are so elegant, with the bird & the contrasting beautiful fountain.

These pictures reminds me about my own bird a few years ago, a beautiful yellow & turquoise little undulate, that enjoyed taking regularly baths in one or two of our small glasses of water on the kitchen table.
