From Bud to Bloom, Your Sunday Best

The evolution of a Peony!!

These pictures were all taken on the same day,

of different buds and blooms on the same plant/bush.

This gives the illusion, that they were taken over several days,

as the bud went to bloom!!

Here she is, stretching for the sun.

The little bug in the upper right corner was a bonus surprise,
when I plugged the camera in!!

Sharing today with Nancy at A Rural Journal

I also want to give props to Adrienne at My Memory Art,
she inspired this post.
She did a similar entry on rhododendrons that you can view here,
it was very special.

Adrienne is a beautiful, creative friend.
She shares gorgeous images and heartfelt stories.

Oh, so pretty! Another flower that we grew in Ohio but in Florida it's too hot. I remember the black ants that always patrolled the peonies. Thanks for sharing!

So pretty Debbie. I have never grown peonies. Are they a bulb? Loved seeing the progression of the bloom. Those lovely photos would be so lovely framed in a sequence.

That is a lovely flower.
Your pictures could almost be time lapse shots. Amazing they were all taken on the same day.

Świetne zdjęcia. Piwonia szybko się rozwija, a niespodziankę w locie zauważyłam :-). Pozdrawiam.
Great pictures. The peony is growing fast, and I noticed a surprise on the fly :-). Yours.
